- Spaced repetition - Wikipedia — Spaced repetition is an evidence-based learning technique that is usually performed with flashcards. Newly introduced and more difficult flashcards are shown more frequently, while older and less difficult flashcards are shown less frequently in order to exploit the psychological spacing effect. The use of spaced repetition has been proven to increase rate of learning.
- Forgetting curve - Wikipedia — The forgetting curve hypothesizes the decline of memory retention in time. This curve shows how information is lost over time when there is no attempt to retain it. A related concept is the strength of memory that refers to the durability that memory traces in the brain. The stronger the memory, the longer period of time that a person is able to recall it. A typical graph of the forgetting curve purports to show that humans tend to halve their memory of newly learned knowledge in a matter of days or weeks unless they consciously review the learned material.
- PalmPilot - Wikipedia — The PalmPilot Personal and PalmPilot Professional are the second generation of Palm PDA devices produced by Palm Inc (then a subsidiary of U.S. Robotics, later 3Com). These devices were launched on March 10, 1997.
- 20 rules of formulating knowledge in learning — The speed of learning will depend on the way you formulate the material. The same material can be learned many times faster if well formulated! The difference in speed can be stunning! The rules are listed in the order of importance. Those listed first are most often violated or bring most benefit when complied with! There is an underlying assumption that you will proceed with learning using spaced repetition, i.e. you will not just learn once but you will repeat the material optimally (as in SuperMemo).
- United States Medical Licensing Examination - Wikipedia — The United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) is a three-step examination program for medical licensure in the United States. It is sponsored by the Federation of State Medical Boards (FSMB) and the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME).[1] U.S. physicians with an M.D. degree and international medical graduates are required to pass this examination before being permitted to practice medicine in the United States unsupervised [2] Individual states often add their own additional requirements.[3]) Physicians with a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree are permitted to take either the USMLE or the Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination (COMLEX) exam for medical licensure.[4][5]
- Anki (software) - Wikipedia — Anki is a free and open-source flashcard program using spaced repetition, a technique from cognitive science for fast and long-lasting memorization.[5] "Anki" (暗記) is the Japanese word for "memorization".[6] The SM-2 algorithm, created for SuperMemo in the late 1980s, forms the basis of the spaced repetition methods employed in the program. Anki's implementation of the algorithm has been modified to allow priorities on cards and to show flashcards in order of their urgency.[7]

- Getting Things Done - Wikipedia — Getting Things Done (GTD) is a personal productivity system developed by David Allen and published in a book of the same name.[1] Described as a time management system,[2] the author states in the book that if a task is on your mind, it will fill your mind completely, which guarantees that you will be incapable of handling yet another task; therefore you will fail to complete any of them.[3]:22
- Zettelkasten - Wikipedia — The zettelkasten (German: "slip box") is a method of note-taking and personal knowledge management used in research and study.
- NF-κB - Wikipedia — NF-κB (nuclear factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells) is a protein complex that controls transcription of DNA, cytokine production and cell survival.
- Cytokine - Wikipedia — Cytokines are a broad and loose category of small proteins (~5–20 kDa) important in cell signaling. Cytokines are peptides and cannot cross the lipid bilayer of cells to enter the cytoplasm. Cytokines have been shown to be involved in autocrine, paracrine and endocrine signaling as immunomodulating agents. Their definite distinction from hormones is still part of ongoing research.
